Mt Tomah

Sugar 'N' Spice photography is now on facebook - become a fan!

Happy birthday Michael!

Today we had a quiet outing to Mt Tomah, which is just past Bilpin (about 30 mins outside Richmond).
I hadn't been to the Botanical Gardens before and was just totally amazed by the beauty of the gardens. The view of the Blue Mountains in the Distance and the wild life. All the little creatures were very brave and where not afraid to come out of their little 'hidey holes' to say hello as we passed by. We saw Lady bugs, Lizards, friendly wasps and an amazing collection of the healthiest fish which followed us as we walk along side their stream.
Check it out if you ever get the opportunity to visit Mt Tomah, can't wait to return.

Bella turns 4

Happy 4th birthday to my little angel Isabella. 4 years ago today she entered our world and what joy she brought along with her. We celebrated this weekend with family and her little friends, I took the plunge and had a party. We invited Glitzy the clown to join us and we all had a wonderful time, eating cupcakes, dancing and singing and a few party games.

Ive been a bad blogger lately, I have been busy putting some things together for 'Sugar n Spice'. I also have been away attending a wonderful workshop with Barb Uil. OOHH yes, I also had a weekend away with girlfriends in Melbourne. Finally getting back to normal and looking forward to some up and coming photo sessions with new babies. xo

My two chickadee's

Its truly amazing how very quickly Children grow. Isabella is quickly approaching 4 years and Jack is 8 months now. The first year of life is when you experience the fastest growth of a child and it is very hard to believe our Jacky boy is moving around so much. Not exactly crawling, he has mastered rolling, and he is great at circles also....... There are times of frustrations and you can hear him grunting as he becomes fed up with himself as he tries so hard to move himself forward. I do believe his first year has gone much faster than Isabella's. With such strength I know it won't be to far away until he's running around with his sister.

Happy Fathers Day!!

This Sunday is Fathers Day. This Post is dedicated to all those wonderful Dads that hopefully will get very spoilt with love and treats this Sunday. This fathers day we have our gorgeous little Jack to help us celebrate and spoil Michael on this day.

To me and my children we believe he is the best Daddy in the world.

He is firstly lots of fun and not to mention loud-kids just love that.....
He tries his best at whatever he is doing, and most of the time that is something aimed at making us all happy.
We love you Daddy !!
Happy Fathers Day.

Bath Time!! .......... in our house

I just love bath time in our house.
There is nothing thats more fun than getting out the bubble bath whilst filling the bath with lovely warm water and watching Isabella strip as fast as she possibly can, frantically eager for play time. In goes all the bath toys, regardless of what they are. Lately we have had spoons, pastry brushes, you name it! She splashes in and soaps up....... Bella pretends to have tea parties as she pours me a cup of tea and hands it to me. Then she pretends she is having swimming lessons and face down in the water she goes.
Sometimes I will leave the bathroom and sit outside the door so she is free to say anything she pleases as she enters into her world of make believe. I love hearing her conversations with herself, the laughing and singing. This is such a fun time.

The Beach

Kids just love the beach, Isabella was no exception on this occasion.
We decided on a trip to wollongong beach recently, one Sunday afternoon. She went crazy in the fresh sea breeze, running crazily around and around, kicking sand, attempting handstands. Then slept the whole way home. What a wonderful time we all had..........

Fit for a Princess

We have lived in the Blue Mountains for nearly one year now. I have loved my time here so far in this area. Although we are only about five minutes from were we where living previously, it just has a really nice feel about it. I love nature and caring for the environment so it is just wonderful to see all these new little creatures that I haven't seen before. Mainly weird little insects. The native birds are just amazing, all those wonderful bright colours flying past the window.

When we first moved in we were sleeping all over the place, the three of us in one room, on mattresses. The reason for this was our room didn't have blinds and Bella hadn't received her big bed yet as it was on order. Slowly we have been going through the house painting and setting up room by room. We I'm glad to say one week ago we finished Bella's room. We had the paint for nearly one year and my plan was to paint pink stripes on her wall. My husband wasn't so keen, I think he was thinking more of the work involved...... Well here it is, hope you like it. Isabella just loves it, she was so excited and had told everyone at preschool we were painting her new room!!
